ENGLISH SPRINGER SPANIELS

I, Rachel Allenby, have been involved with this unbroken line of pure 100% English Springer Spaniels for over 45 years. I started working, breeding and training Springers in the south of England, and then moved to Scotland, where I owned and ran a shooting lodge, named Waterybutts Lodge, for 10 years.

In 1996 I moved to south Texas with 12 of my dogs [Springers, Irish Setters and English Pointers] to work on a superb wild quail hunting ranch. I am now guiding, training and breeding from my own kennels and also Cypress Valley Preserve, just north of Austin. TX.

I am not a field trialer, I am a hunter and I breed very specifically for myself. I like a dog with a lot of white on it. I need a dog with an excellent nose, a phenomenal desire to hunt and a natural desire to retrieve. But most important the dog must be a quiet and gentle household companion when not hunting.

All of these dogs have been imported or bred from imported dogs from Scotland.
